    Congratulations Marina Scarr for your image "Sibling Rivalry" being chosen as the Avian Image of the Week for the week ending 6/17/2011!!!

    At 4 days old, these 2 American Oystercatcher chicks were doing quite a bit of rough housing. In this capture, the rear chick was actually chest butting the front one. These two little clowns were a JOY to watch and photograph!

    This capture was chosen for Tier II of the NANPA Showcase this year.

    Canon 40D, Canon 400DO & 1.4TC
    F7.1, 1/1600sec, ISO 400, manual mode
    Handheld lying on my belly in the sand
    No beach clean up.
