This is lovely Dumay. I love the comp. The BG is great and the scratching adds interest to the picture. Nice light and simple perch.
    Akeeper for sure,

Decided to post a tighter crop as well to see which is preferred

Nice pose, good perch, great BG. I like looser comps too, so I'm biased on the first...but on that one I'd like to see the subject placed a bit closer to the edge (perhaps halving the current amount of space between it and the edge). I love the green sheen on the crown!

Dumay, excellent BG and IQ as always. very nice pose. I like poses as they add that extra bit to bird-on-stick/ duck-in-water/ shorebird-in-sand/ egret-in-water images.

At 1024-pixels wide, I do like the wider crop. If you were to post it as 800-pixels wide, then yes, the tighter obviously works better.

Nicely done Dumay. You've been getting great looks at greenies and have used these opportunities well.
    Nice bg, perch, pose.
I like both comps but prefer the original one. I'd move him slightly more to the left as Daniel suggested.

Thighter crop is the winner IMO.

Hey mate, I would go with your OP with a touch off the top. Well timed to capture the scratch, and that BG rocks.
