You are right, this looks like such a cutie! Looks like it is pretty small too. Tough conditions with the mottled light and hot highlights in LLC...some fill-flash would have helped here for the subject. I'd also like a bit more room below, and wish the head was angled more towards us.

I larger view would be nice but it is a great looking woodpecker that I have never seen.
Really sharp and a nice pose for a woodpecker (do they ever seem look at you?)
