A pair of these noisy birds greeted us each morning in Boquete.
Originally from Colombia they are now common.

this is a cracking one Richard. Only down point for me is the 'blackness' of the rock perch.

I like the quizzical look and the bird contrast nicely against the green BG. If this was mine I would crop in from the left and up from the bottom to lessen the dead space and the rocks impact on the image.

I too would crop in from the left. Neat pose, good perch. The BG looks nice, but the colours are much more vivid and "marbling" more distinct on the right part of it...any work done to the left?

    OK recropped

BG was not touched except for NR and yellows desat to taste but not this time

The BG was dense jungle across a wide valley; the rock is a lava bomb from the Volcan Baru

    Thanks for comments, appreciated

A super portrait! I really love that background as well, the greens are superb! Lovely detail on the subject.

Nice pose and BG. I dont mind the perch and like the amount of rock in pane #5. If mine, I'd crop some from the left in that one...most times these decisions come down to personal preference.
