Yes, nice catch from the heron. I like the shadow's play with the head plume. Harsh light and its' angle hurt the image. A darker exposure and lots of flash would have perhaps helped here. Tough conditions in any case. Big crop?...fine detail seems to be compromised...

Great advice above. With these birds....you have to be very careful of the light/white areas. Just something to keep in mind for in the field. I like that you are concentrating on the action....so just keep the angle in mind now.
