Congratulations Glenn Bartley for your image " Common Loon" being chosen as the Avain Image of the Week for the week ending 6/10/2011!!!

Sorry for my lack of posts lately folks. I have been off on a 3 week road trip through the interior of British Columbia. It was a great trip with lots of memorable encounters. I thought I'd start off with this one that I hope you will enjoy.

    All the best!

    Glenn

    Hi Glenn,

There is so much in the picture that is stunning. The drops falling from the beak are the icing on the cake and the detail/texture of the head feathers is simply great.

Glenn. Absolutely well deserved. One of the best images I have ever seen of this bird. Congrats.
