    Default Bluethroat

    When I was standing in the dunes when this bluethroat came so near that I had to take step back because the lens could not get the correct focus.

    Canon 7d 500mm +1.4x 1/250sec f8 iso400

    You have to love it when they come in close!

    Interesting pose, pleasant background, nice colors.

    The image isn't quite sharp to my eyes, suspect some possible motion blur with these settings.

    I think you could have safely bumped up the ISO to give yourself a bit more shutter speed to work with.

    Looks like some sort of post processing artifact in the left lower corner.

    Good points by Randy. I like the alert pose. I might darken the vegetation in the RLC a little. As presented, it's a bit tight at the top of the frame.
