Lovely sinuous composition, Ovidiu! Great OOF echo of the subject on the RS. The bright BG works for this one, but I do find the hot edge of the leaf a bit distracting. Is that glare, or did the leaf really have a light edge? I like that even with the shallow DOF we can see some veins and the rib.

Thanks Mitch. The leaves do have white on the edge, on the in focus white edge details can be seen in larger image. With shallow DOF this white edge caused some trouble in some of the images I shot because when oof it gives a unpleasant glare look.

    Absolute top class !
Loved the curving blade of the leaf running across with a shallow DOF.
The colours are pleasing. Very well planned and executed.

Ovidiu: You are a master of leaf photos! This is wonderful. Love the curves, colors, selective focus. The white edge works for me as it helps draw my eye to the in-focus area. Excellent image!

    Hey Ovidiu,
I really like the leaf edge......I am not so fond of the large whitish area on the left. Perhaps it is because of the bit of green and not the white? You are still doing and excellent job with the lighting and shallow DOF!!!

Hi Ovidiu. I agree with the others - this is very nicely done. I like the curving flow of the leaf edge that leads our eye through the frame.

I love it! Excellent bend and flow to the entire image. Love the touches of green in the LLC and URC. Beautiful to look at and so simple!
