Mostly inhabits reed beds around water and not easy to get with clear BG.

    C&C allways welcome.

Loverly bird, perch, pose, soft light and BKGR. I think that a bit more sharpening might be in order.... And a good head angle to boot.

Love the diagonal, slim perch, the bird with perfect HA and the comp. Would've possibly traded SS for more DOF. Very nice image. TFS.

Great shot! The pose is fantastic. There's a lot of detail in there that could come out even more with a little more sharpening. Maybe dodge the eye a bit?

Hi Pieter, good comp to suit the pose, and I like the soft light and detail. Lovely smooth BG too.

My apologies for the late response but I have been unable to connect to BPN for the past week, a routing problem my ISP informs me, don't quite understand it but most frustrating.

Thanks for your feedback and comments. Arthur I am a little wary of oversharpening but in this case the image was improved with some USM and Robert the dodge helped. I was going to repost the reworked image but too late now.

Sidarth and Rakesh thanks for the advice will be paying more attention to settings for future shots.
