Anyone know why is there no icon showing?

Don't know why no icon's showing, Matthew. I hope the missing icon doesn't cause anyone to miss this outstanding shot. This image could win awards, but the one drawback is that the prey is a bit indistinct. I love the dramatic, open-mouthed expression of the hawk, the perfect winter sunlight on the outstretched wings, and the kicked up snow. The image communicates violence, power, gracefulness, and pathos--nature. One of the best shots I've seen in six months on this forum. Congratulations. Now, why don't you give us a little of the history behind this achievement?

Gorgeous light and outstretched wings. This would have probably worked better if you had captured the image either a split second before or after he grabbed his prey.

This hawk looks like one of Paul Leveringtons. Baited ?

Love the raised, outstreched wings..."V" for victory! Very dramatic and I like the graduated BG.

Your thumbnail doesn't show because your image has been uploaded from an outside hosting service, in your case Flickr. The thumbnails only show if you upload directly to BPN's server.

Matthew, one of the best red tailed shots I have seen. Killer moment, low angle, spot-on expsoure....open bill just makes it more stunning. I liked the way you have placed the bird in the frame. TFS.

Matthew, thumbnails are displayed only if the file is hosted on BPN server....something that started happening after the big upgrade. This one, I think you have linked from flickr.
