    Made this image in Pangot in Uttarakhand in North India . The light was not great , but it was lovely to get this lifer .

    Body : Canon 1D Mk III
    Lens : Canon 600mm f4 IS
    Shutters : 1/1000 s
    Aperture : 5.6
    ISO :1250

    Hello Rakesh, fellow Asian birder! Laughingthrushes, that quintessentially Asian family, need to make more appearances on this forum. (I live in China, their heartland, so I'm talking to myself too.) Congratulations on this lifer. Despite the poor lighting, I think you got a good shot, and I think more could be done. I'd carefully select the OOF BG and noise-reduce it. I'd then see whether more color couldn't be coaxed out of the l'thrush without burning that fragile white throat.

    A wonderful shot with the blue eyes, rich brown and especially the white chest. I've never seen a laughing thrush.....gorgeous bird.

    What a beautiful bird! Despite the low light (good for those whites though!), I think it's a lovely image.

    Rakesh, I have dreamt of seeing these birds since childhood. This is awesome....so hard to get. Great feel here and very nice angle of the bird.

    Striking bird Rakesh with nice plumage detail and as mentioned by Danny beautiful blue eye. Well done on the lifer.
