    Default The Pier at Sunset

Last Monday evening, minutes after sunset, at the Naples, Florida, fishing pier. Cropped to a 2:1 aspect ratio, cloned out a few "black speck" birds, slightly adjusted horizon, and applied slight unsharp mask. Any C & C welcome!

Haven't been there in a while but this image has certainly made me want to change that.

    Thanks for sharing.

Hi Mike, Nice job with the image. Beautiful light with the pier acting as a leading line dividing the image around 60/40. The pano crop works well with just enough sky.Well done !

    Hey Mike,
Very nicely done! You have done an excellent job composing this. Line of pier works great and the pano crop just adds to the overall look with no unnecessary elements! Works for me.

Lovely feel to this image with all elements of the composition working together nicely. The colours and tonal range in this image are beautiful and the clouds have some variety to give added depth. As Dave has said, the pier intersects the image perfectly.

I agree with the above comments. Also looks like a great place to do an HDR at sunset.
