I very much like the diagonal perch. Pose, light and BG are also nice. However your point of maximum focus appears to be on the berries in front of the bird.

Strong effort and I agree with the positives mentioned, and I agree critical focus is not on the face. If anything always try to get focus on the eye as otherwise the image will suffer instantly...
