Hi Nick,
First of all, welcome to BPN!!:)
Only paying members can post attachments. As a forum participant you will need to link your images form another site (e.g. pbase, flickr, photobucket). When you start a new thread click on the "Insert image" icon (square, with a tree inside) just copy and paste your image's URL in the box.
Have fun, and looking forward to your participation!
**Here are more details taken from the posting guidelines found in the "Sticky" at the top of the Eager to Learn forum:
Forum Participants may post images but do not qualify to use BPN's hosting service. Posted images must be "inserted" by linking to another hosting service. Please follow the instructions below to do so.
Posting Guideline: Please submit only one image per post. Image size is to be no larger than 1024 pixels on the horizontal or 800 pixels on the vertical side. File size is not to exceed 200 kb. Forum Participants may post one image per forum, every 48 hours.
How to size images for web.

- Click on "New Thread" in the forum of your choice.Left click the "Insert Image" button in the tool bar
- The button is square with a tree icon. The words "Insert Image" will appear when you mouse over the button.
- Copy URL including http:// of hosted image and click OK.
- After inserting your image, go to your message window and fill in your "Title" then in the "Message Window" give as much info as you can to help those who will critique your image. Please include technical data, such as, but not limited to, camera settings(ISO, f/stop, Shutter speed, support, flash etc.) time of day, weather conditions and location. If your subject is captive, please disclose that fact.If you have attracted your subject or subjects into photographic range with food, water, audio, or by any other means, please let us know. If you have significantly altered your image by adding or removing elements of the composition, we ask that you disclose that as well. This information will benefit all members and add to the educational value of each post. Anything else you can think of? If no -"Preview Post".
- Clicking "Preview Post" first will show you what everyone who opens your post will see. If there is something missing, go back to your open window and add it, then click Preview Post again....do this until you are satisfied with your post, then click Submit.
Thanks for the help Daniel. Nick, if you ever need help posting just check the sticky note at the top of this forum that is titled, "Posting Guidelines." It's there whenever you need it.
And a big welcome to BPN! Looking forward to seeing your posts.
Pete, I'm going to send this link to James Shadle who is the main administrator and have him figure out what is going wrong for you. Hang on...we'll get you going!
What is the link you are trying to use for your image? Some sites, like Flickr for example, provide a you with a link that is NOT a direct link to an image like it used to give you. Now it gives you a link to the page containing the image. This is becoming increasingly common with the photo sharing sites and makes it more difficult to locate the correct link to use. You will want to make sure the one you are trying to add ends in .JPG

I have a high sarcasm rate. Deal with it.

That's a perfect example. That link isn't a link to a picture. It's a link to a page that contains the picture. Notice there's no .jpg at the end (or any other extension).
I don't know how of if Pbase can easily give you the actual image name and right click is disabled on there so the normal method of right clicking and viewing the properties is out. I looked at the code and found that the image is actually "http://i.pbase.com/g1/70/962470/2/131135317.Y0ANnw41.jpg"
Without the quotes. That file name changes with the size you have selected.
Copy the above link without the quotes and try the steps to include an image. I think you'll find it works :)
P.S. The link I added doesn't link correctly as it is in my reply...copy the text of the link starting with http and ending with .jpg
