i was wondering if anyone has ever been there and if it has any good photographic opportunities. someone spoke to me about it last week and said i should visit since i enjoy photography. did a little digging and havent found a lot of info in regards to opportunities.
it's in gainesville, fl. a 67 acre sinkhole that has a boardwalk built into it. looks pretty cool what i have seen. just trying to find the best time to visit and if it's a place you spend the day or just a few hours.
Harold, it's not someplace your will spend a lot of time at. If you are planning a trip around this location, it's not going to be the ticket. Nothing in the Gainesville area will even come close to Paynes Prairie SP and I wouldn't do Millhopper for photo opportunites with the Prairie just down the road. The sink is interesting, but if you look at the visitor photo section for contest entries of both park websites and you will see the difference in opportunities.
