I had a very neat opportunity the other night to photograph this cute little owl. I havent seen too many shots of this species at night so I thought I'd post this one.

Great shot Glenn! The yellow ring around the pupil, the iris, looks absolutely fantastic, especially against the all black background. I also really like the bit of branch across the upper left corner. Thanks for sharing!
Wow, those eyes. Amazing. In contrast John and Chantelle I think the image is greatly improved if you crop below the upper branch. At the moment I find it distracts rather than frames.
The eyes have it. Good execution with the flash and techs. Cropping the branch would screw up the framing which I like. I would just fill that area with the surrounding black.
For this owl to be balanced in the frame, I really feel that the upper branch needs to stay...even though at first look, you may think otherwise. Lovely capture of a captivating creature!
