Pine Forest blur
I took this the same evening I took the long exposure I posted earlier this week. They had done a controlled burn so the trunks of the pine trees were black. Instead of panning up I panned down so I got the bottom of the trunks and the ground below.

I like the mod and the pleasingly blurred effect. Where did the purple trunks come from?

Thanks Denise and Artie (hope you had a great trip!) The purple are actually burned trunks from a prescribed burn in that part of the forest. The lower parts of the trunks were burned which is why I decided to pan down. I didn't change any of the colors, they just turn out that way.

Thanks Cheryl. Those trunks look lilac colored. The trip was great. I am posting something in pretty much each critique forum and will try to do a short blog post tonight on the trip. There will be a full report on the trip in the next Bulletin probably WED.

Artie, I don't know why they look lavender but the pines always do. And these had charred trunks - go figure. Maybe I should be doing something in pp?
