I had a fantastic day with James Shadle last Friday on the latest version of the Hooptie Dieux. This is one of my first images of the day, this is full frame uncropped and unprocessed except for a couple of dust spots removed after converting with ACR. Shot with EOS 1D MK III and 70-200mm 2.8L at 200mm f/16 1/250 iso 800.

We were blessed with good weather and perfect wind and I learned a ton in the process of getting some very nice images (will post in ETL soon) I really enjoyed meeting and spending a day with James and highly recommend his services to anyone.

    Hey Joel,
Always a good day out with James! I like where the pelican is in the frame balancing the sun although I do wish he was at a better silhouette angle....but given the SS.....you did very well panning! You could probably tweak some of the colors.....near the sun.... it looks a bit off and might be that you need to pull back on the reds in that area. Will look forward to seeing some of the bird images too!
