    This shot was taken in Hiwasse Wildlife Reserve here in TN at near sunset.



    Shot with:

    Canon D60
    Canon 300 2.8L IS + 2X
    ISO 200 1/500 f5.6

    I like what I see but it is quite small. ;) It might be a bit soft and S/H might bring out some more details in the shadows.

    Well done. Nice composition and background. The head and eye do not look exceedingly sharp...

    ps: I do work on the eyes of more than 50% of my bird images; most often I darken the pupil and sometimes I lighten the iris.

    Nice action and pose. Nice BG as well. If I was to find a nit, it would be the shadow is a little harsh.
