This image was taken on the Scantic River in Enfield, CT a couple years ago in the fall. I tried to use just the right shutter speed to create an in-camera abstract. I call it Watercolor. I made a slight levels adjustment.

Eric, Big welcome to OOTB. I love this! The colors and the amount of blur are really nice. If you could post your camera specs it would be great. Your allowed to post up to 1024 W x 800H which might help to show this beauty off more if you wanted.
Hi Eric, and welcome to OOTB! I really like your approach and what you achieved with this image. Very good thinking and execution. It is abstract, while also being very familiar - a nice combination! Was this a crop?

Eric, The larger image really does look great. Thanks for the specs. I think I would tone down a couple of bright spots just a little. The colors and swirls are very nice. I would probably crop a sliver off the bottom -up to just before the green swirl on the right. I like this one a lot!! Well done.
Excellent work Eric! Thanks for posting the larger version, looks great.

Denise, You mention toning down the brightspots. How do I do this? I'm not illiterate when it comes just photoshop, I'm just reading at a kindergarden level.:) (That's probably why I only attempt in-camera abstracts)
Thanks to everyone else for the kind words. I'm glad you like it.

Eric, Fabs posted this in her blog on BPN. You might find it helpful.

Eric, welcome to OOTB!, excellent image and looks awesome in bigger size TFS
Fantastic image. The colors and the blur are great. I also think a tiny crop from the bottom would work here. Congratulations on a fine image.
Thanks for the link Denise. Thanks to all others for the comments.
