    This was taken yesterday at Wakodahatchee. We have had one spoonbill in the area for the past couple of days and just as I was preparing to leave this little flash of pink caught my eye.

    Nikon D300
    Nikon 300mm F2.8
    ISO 320
    1/1600, F6.3
    Hand held

    Oh wow. Well worth the wait. The clouds are a nice touch. I see some halo around the legs and under the bill.

    jusssssst enough turn toward the viewer to not be a profile.
    Nice position in the frame

    pleasure to view even with the wee halos

    Love the moody lighting. There is a bit of haloing, but still a beauty as presented.

    Judy beautiful wing position, colour and detail. It really pops against the cloudy sky. I hope to see one some day.
