    Default Telephoto sunset

    Come to think of it, this is my first post in the BPN landscape gallery and I'll drop in with a different type of landscape. This sunset namely was made with a 400mm lens! This was initially not my intention, but what looked like a uninterestimng sunset suddenly unfolded in a special one, but I did not have any foreground interest for a wide angle approach hence I zoomed in on the interest.

    And that was the right choice Vincent - go to a telephoto. Vertical certainly works here. I like how that one tree is so well defined by the sun. I also like the patterns of the sunlit clouds - they lead you around the sky. The bright top of the image balances out the bottom dark part. I might go with a bit less bottom shadow area but other then that it is working for me well.

    Crazy colors and sky but it all works.
