Body posture is OK with me and you got a good head angle. The BG could be improved by going higher or lower to get a uniform color if that was possible.
Nice work Layton. Handheld? You definitely could have raised or lowered your position.

You did an excellent job with smoothing out those lines in the BG.......makes a big difference. I especially like this one as it's the female.....and I've seen very few images of a female. I like the pose and remnants of the snail on the beak......adds considerably more to the story. Well done.
The repost is much better I like the pose with the bits of snail still in her beak.Nice job cleaning up the background it was well worth the effort and it made this excellent image much better.
I like the repost better however the medium green above/light below BKGR rarely works... If you are not sitting or on your knees for this one, you should have been.
