Very dramatic, Sandy! Love how the grass is barely perceptible and yet strong enough to add a vertical element to the image. Love the dark colors and the blue/purple combo is striking against that orange center. I'm still not sold on the frames but this one is more to my liking as it is subtle and doesn't flirt with the attention of the flower. Super!

    LOL! :D
Julie, I'll try to be subtle with frames, then - it's just that images seem very incomplete to me without some type of frame or border. Just stuck on a web page with no definition..
Sometimes for dramatic images, I will add dramatic frames, though.. be forwarned! :)
Guess that is the painter in me..

Sandy, I also like the very subtle vertical grass. The small frame doesn't really bother me as it seems you've sampled a color tone from the image itself which brings it all together.

Hey, I like the frame even though I don't use them myself. Stunning image with dramatic contrast. Love the tones and the faint grass in the BG.

Hey Sandy, great artistic feel in this one. Great contrast in the flower and the BG. I feel it has a little more negitive space on the top then it needs. Well done.

As Mike said, a slice off the top is all this needs to be close to perfection! :)

I like the bulls eye centered composition of this, being a vertical, but would like to see more of the stems to sustain it. This frame I don't mind :)

    Hey Sandy,
I love the hint of grasses and the light of the bloom. I'm with Mike on the top crop.....but I may also tighten it up all around.....I have a love for the crop tool!

I also agree about this one needing less negative space above. Pretty flower and very dramatic look. I am also not too convinced about frames. :D
