Very Lucky Shot
Taken in the Sabi Sands in August 2009. I asked our ranger to go around so that the elephant was positioned between us and the setting sun and also to get out in front of the elephant. This one came out the best and only when reviewing the shots later did I see that a bird had flown into the shot. I consider this probably a once in a lifetime shot.

Processed in DPP and then sunspots on the body of the elephant and the trunk cloned out in PS Elements. This is a crop. The original has the elephant, sun and bird in the center of the shot. I am slightly torn about the crop because I do consider this likely a once in a lifetime shot and really like the original too. I'll post the original as well because I would really like opinions on the crop or if people would do something differently.
