    Hey Kobus,
Want snow.....come here in Jan/Feb.....you can take all mine! Not sure if it was the polariser or the blend but some of the darker areas seem a bit too dark.....especially the FG. I'm not saying to do too much....as this has a nice feel to it.....but slighly opening up some of the shadows will take this up another notch. Make sure to check the whites on the RH side of the mountains....the are lcose to being lost....but that is probably due to compression.....so more of an FYI there.
I like the way the comp flows with the FG hill leading us to the lake and mountains.....just need to tweak it some more in the FG to make its impact a little less heavy.

Hi Kobus, Nice light and well divided comp. I agree about lightening the foreground a bit since the darker areas have a tendancy to hold the eye. You also gave the foreground a dominant position in the image. I might look for something a bit more interesting to place there...

I like this image very much and agree with the previous comments. I looked at it with a pano crop where I took off some of the dark foreground to approx where the river bed meets the bottom lhs (below the dam). I felt it drew the eye more to the play of light and dark on the hills. Very nice.

Thank you all for the great comments appreciate it lots. I know its not the best image and thats why i said i wish i could do better. The whites are not blown....i guess its from compr. Agree on the dark areas and it will be easy to fix cause i have i light exposure to blend in. Appreciate all the commens and will make use of them

    Kobus,

LIke the overall feel of this image a lot. Agree with the lightening comments but my preference is cropping more from the bottom, say 1/5 of the image up. This lowers the overall amount of dark area in the FG and creates a stronger composition for the mountains. You don't want the viewers eye lingering the FG long so give them less to look at there (also the reason for not having it too dark causing them to try to figure out what is in the shadows while ignoring the mountains).
