The leaves belong to ground ivy that had choked out the wild strawberry plant. Somehow this strawberry poked through and survived.

Ken, Wonderful contrasting colors! The uniform sharpness with the full strawberry on top and rule of thirds placement adds to the image. My dad would go out and try to pick this tiny fruit. He would later share his coffee cup full harvest with us. Boy, were they good!:)

Wonderful image, Ken! I agree with Steve that the placement of the strawberry is really nice! You also did a very good job of keeping the foliage from getting too dark at the base. Nice sharpness all the way to the corners, also. ;)

Very nice composition. Love the berry placement, sharpness, and tones.

    Hey Ken,
Placement is excellent as is the lighting.....me being me....wants closer! Saimilar comp....but even a touch closer. Maybe it's because I too remember eating these little guys.....strawberry flavor on steroids!

    Hi, Ken.

Just lovely! I never find it easy to compose images where there are many leaves in the frame. You've really done an excellent job.
