I just found out that PhaseOne, who makes Capture One, has just acquired Microsoft's Expression Media 2. So anyone who was not willing to go with EM2 when MS had it, maybe heres your chance. I love it as a DAM and am very happy that someone has taken it who is willing to support it. EM2 is my main cataloguing software. One of the first steps in my workflow is to import the content of my CF cards and then to load everything into EM2 for editing, selecting, adding keywords, etc. The program, despite its problems under Microsoft, is vital to me. I'm delighted that PhaseOne has acquired EM2 because users have been very concerned about its future under Microsoft.
