    Default London Whitehall at Night

    Hey guys,

    Took this last night in central london, looking down whitehall looking at Big Ben. First attempt at night photography, how did i do?

    Did great Peter !!! Lots of different things you can do at night, go slow like here or buy a fast fixed focal length like a 50 or 28 .. both are not expensive and easy to find use. The 1.4 50 would be great or 28 2.8 !!! Could raise the ISO to 400 or so and might get a decent shutter speed !!! btw do not under expose with your camera ( or any) best way to introduce heavy duty noise !!!

    ... for this might have dialed in a bit more of neg compensation !! Looking forward to the next one !!

    nicely done. Another trick is to take multiple exposures at different exposure times and layer them to get a more even light streak.

    Nice image Peter. Think you did well for a night shot. I remember seeing these elephants all over London.
