Hi Peter, Good comp divided into thirds.Pleasing soft light on the dunes with nice detail. I have mixed feelings on the sky about the blue looking a bit unnatural. See what others think...

I really like the composition. Nice use of layers. The dark blue sky adds some nice drama to the image.

    Hey Peter,
I think I actually prefer the blue! It has a nice color contrast between the bit of warmth in the dunes and the coolness/drama of the sky. I do think a bit off the top to just above the white bands even further accentuates the dunes......mostly because it has nice lines! Very well done!

I am good with the blue as a departure from the actual colors - that is what art is all about, your interpretation.

    Thanks Roman and Robert,
Roman agree about crop , so I have edited the final tiff,

the ''HH THING" is just a phase as I have done very little if any landscapes before , so my only tripod is a heavy gitzo for my 600mm lens ..
but i am getting addicted to the landscape so will get a lighter tripod and a MF camera...bit out of my comfort zone but I will enjoy the learning curve..

Robert ,thanks for that comment about "interpretation" as I tend to keep my creative side in check...

I think I prefer the original sky. It has a very dramatic effect.
