Flowing Sands

This was taken in upper Antelope Canyon on my just completed tour. Since I have been there so many times, I have tried to do a few different things. I had to wait for a lull in the crowds......but I think it was worth it.
Canon 1D Mark lll with the 17-40mm lens at 25mm for 4 sec. at f22 and ISO 200 all tripod mounted w/ Graf Studioball head.

Well the flowing sand is really cool - have not seen that before. I like the flow of the slanted rock to sand flowing to ground to the brush - good use of a leading line to guide the eye.

Beautiful image...well handled exposure, nice detail and original.
I really like the soft sand playing against the hard canyon walls.
This image also has nice contrast between the light area's and shadows. I agree with Robert on the leading lines.

Hi Roman, Very different and I like the flow of sand along with good light. IMO the bright area to the right of the log is taking away from the impact of the falling sand. I cropped that area out and the image becomes much stronger....

Love the tonal range in this image, it really allows the curves and lines and detail in the rocks to be the focus. The flowing sand brings the whole scene together, really nice to look at.

beautiful imagery. Just curious, given the tight confined there, why f/22? I usually find f/8 or f/11 sufficient on the wide to get full dof there.

Thanks all! Mostly habit Michael...but the longer SS's also helped with the sand flow.

well I missed this one. very creative shot Roman...I love the way the light falls to accentuate curves, lines and textures in the scene. I like what Kobus has done but don't know how "red" the sand was to the eye?

Hi Roman, you won't believe this. I have the exact same shot taken at this location. I visited this place this Memorial weekend and hit upon this spot more by chance :). Also, that stick at the top is still there.
