    Default White Heron

I took this at Gatorland in Orlando, FL. I like it, but I'm not sure if it's too dark.

Sharp, and I like the backlight, but too large in the frame. Flash at about -1/3 stop would have lit the shadoewd side nicely.

Good to see you here, EB. Nice backit image. What I did here was a quick mask to select the dark areas inside the bird, feathered 10pixels, created a Brightness/Contrast Layer Mask from the resulting selection. Boosted the Brightness 59 in CS3, and then added a catchlight to the eye.

Hey Jody, Not sure that I could follow those instructions but the re-post is a huge improvement. Kudos.

Thanks to both of you, for the welcome and the comments. With as many posts that seem to be coming in, I hope you don't get burnt out trying to keep up with them.

Can't believe how much an improvement that made Jody, thanks.
