    Default Keeper, or Bleeper?

I place myself at the mercy of the court... I was shooting egrets when I heard that wonderful sound of big wings flapping. I spun around to find this heron just landing in the water. My question is, does the fact that we can't see his feet in the water make this a toss?

Converted in LR2, sharpened and levels in CS4.

If Al can't find it when you toss it. I'll dig for it :D Excellent wing position, HA and eye contact.
    Big congrats Kerry.

This is a definite keeper. The BG and the wing position are just right. Wish it were one of mine.

Hi Kerry, Definitely a keeper! The raised wing is very nice. Good head angle in my opinion. The dark background displays the bird very well. Although I do like this as presented, I think this would also work with some the reflection cropped off sense it is blurred. It is nice to have options. Very nice and thanks for sharing.

    Hi Kerry

It's definate keeper in my books also and my code of ethics would allow me to remove/disguise the second (ducks) head just above the herons. Not sure about yours...

    regards

Can you define Bleeper? It certainly doesn't mean tossing it! Not often do you see a night heron in this position and you captured it well. Good lighting, exposure and detail. Might crop the reflection a little above your name but leave room for the virtual feet...

Such a great pose! Lovely angle, fully outstretched wings, the bird is nicely exposed. It's a keeper for sure
