This image was taken on the Causeway at Merritt Island NWR. It was a nice place to stop for a picnic after a day in the refuge, until they started the construction on the new high rise bridge.

Modifications in CS4 included; Topaz Clean – Cartoon, Topaz Detail – Spring Green, Angled Strokes and Diffused Frosted Glass.

    Enjoy!

    Hey Mark,

Interesting image. I can appreciate where you were headed with this image. The effect is very painterly. I'm just having difficulty getting past the feeling that the strokes (looking like they were done with a palette knife) are too large particularly on the gull. I keep feeling like the strokes should a little smaller with a little more of them.

But that's me. If you like it this and you must, that trumps me every time! ;)

Thanks for viewing and comments, Ed. Appreciate it.

I may have a different vision, but I appreciate all others who either share it or have another one.

This one kind of evolved into what it is. No palette knife this time, but the diffused glass and the Topaz effects gives it that feeling.

    Again, appreciate your input.
