The reason for posting this image is because it shows the subtle difference betwee the male and female. that being a black-mark just below the beak on the male..

Great teaching image, Judy. And another lovely portrait in your flicker series. Love the pose and BG. How do you get so close? Flickers are normally quite shy. Keep 'em coming...

Hi Judy, I have really enjoyed your flicker posts and I thinkd this is another good one. Demonstrating the male/female marking makes this image for me. If this isn't already a big crop and the image quality wouldn't suffer I might be tempted to crop some off the right (our right) to eliminate some of the tree. Thanks for sharing

Judy, agree with Phil on crop. I like the two good head angles and the bird positions relative to each other.

Judy, you certainly have shared time with these guys. Good to see the difference between the two, and agree bringing in from the right will work.

Agree on cropping out some more of the tree on the right. Very nice capture on the birds, love their colors

    Nice capture, comadre :)
Agree on cropping some off the tree, more like a vertical pano.

Beauty shot Judy capturing both in the same frame.
Nice to find the hole (I assume the female is in the hole). I'll give you opportunities to capture the young ones being fed later on.

Very nice Judy. I love the fluffed throat feathers on the male.
