We ran into this Kori Bustard in the Ngorongoro Crater. Amazing how they puff out for mating show.

    1DMK4 with 500 f4. Evaluative metering at ISO 100 F4 and 1/500 EV + 1/3. Cropped slightly.

    Thanks for looking. C&C welcome.

Cool pose, I also like the soft light and angle. I might have gone to ISO 200 or 400 and stopped down a bit more. I find it a bit tight in the frame.

WOW !! What and amazing behaviour shot!!! I don't really see the need for stopping down as I love the way the BG looks and the bird is sharp with good detail. If anything just a tiny bit more room at the bottom which is very easy to do.

Very interesting species to see, and great behavior that you've captured. I like the varied background.

This is sweet, Ed, I particularly like the layers of colors in the BG. Agree it's a bit tight, more on the bottom.
Glad you were able to get the 1d4 before your trip!

One cool bird Ed, love the colours, but would agree about the ISO etc as per Alex's comment. :)

    Nice one.
