    Default Seed Head

    Attached Images Attached Images

A common weed seed head given a tad of frac, a bit of emboss, and a Nik bicolor. First I selected the seed head and sandwiched that between the original and a duplicate, then masked back to create the double focus look. Oh, and the thin black border was added before the PP so it has a soft blurred look. This is a real 'cosy' shot as the seed head is only 3/4" in length. Had to use my tripod to get some sharpness:D

Kora, The selective focus along with the duplicate layer make this stand out as special. Very nice look and the BG compliments your seed head nicely. A subtle bit of fractalius is the finishing touch! Lovely!!

I like the way the it enters the image diagonally and I like the effect of the fractalius program.

Nice job on pp, Kora. I really like the translucency of the image and the angle that you photographed the seed head. Those little seed pods give it a real 3-D look!

Very nice work, Kora. Love the soft, 3D look of the seed pod, and nice soft colors.

I love the look and the effect. Did you skew one layer to produce the o-o-f BKGR image?

Many thanks Jackie, Jules, Christopher and Arthur.

Arthur, The o-o-f image was a selection (ctrl=j) then transform (ctrl+t) and <rotate>. It was placed between original and duplicate and masked back to reveal the selection. Opacity lowered on top and selection layer. Where part of selection layer showed through top image I erased it away. Hope this helps:) Kora

    Hi Kora,
What really makes this for me is that double focus layer.....adds just another dimension to the overall image. Very nicely done!

Kora, there is a lot going on in this image. I really like the double exposure effect. Nice tones on the plant and the BG. Another example of how Fractalius can be used without taking it over the top. This is very creative!:)
