    Default on golden river drake mallard

    took this last month on my local river,cannon 50d,400mm cannon prime lens,tripod,1/100 sec,iso800,f5.6,removed some noise in dpp,cropped and sharpened,and tweeked the colors a bit in pse7.thanks for looking.

    Chris:

    The head angle,eye contact are engaging. Pleasant BG. I could see it cropped up to the bottom of the body reflection, as the reflection is distorted enough that I am not sure the head portion adds a lot.

    I am not seeing much detail in some of the lighter areas, esp. on the tail. Might help to tone those areas down a bit.

    Agree with Randy regarding the lighter areas. A pleasing image, I like the green colours against the darker brown BG.

    Nice one. I would suggest a lower shooting position and a little NR on BG.
