    Default Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary

I enjoyed a visit to the Sanctuary this past weekend and was surprised by the Painted Buntings that were at both feeders, so I thought I would pass it on. Also several Vireo's were around. A Red-shouldered Hawk's net and Deer could be seen fairly close. Early morning, of course, is best.

thanks for the update, matthew. how wet is the swamp? seems the last two year's drought really didnt do much for the birds in the back. were there any yellow crowned night herons there?

I went Saturday right after the two days of heavy rain, therefore swamp was flooded. There were no herons to be seen, at least during my visit. A lot of Black Crowned Night Herons at Ding Darling.
