    Took this in Galloway Forest area of South West Scotland. The sun popped out between the clouds for about 5 mins, so caught this guy.
    Canon 40d
    Canon 400mm f5.6 lens

    Av f6.3
    Shutter: 1/400sec
    ISO 400

    I like the sharpness, eye contact and BG. I wish the wings were all the way up or down and some of the whites are overexposed. I might have raised the ISO for higher shutter speed.

    Hi Mark, technicals aside, I think you've perfectly captured the feeling of the sun-just-popped-out. I quite like it.

    Mark, I liked the rim light here a lot. Agree with Axel...wing position is not ideal. The crop is very good and sharp where it counts. Loved that eye.

    You have great light in this shot and a beautiful background.
