    Hi Everyone,
    I wanted to share with you all that today this image won 'Best In Show' in our Camera Club annual exhibition. :D
    I have to say that I was stunned - I don't think that a natural history image has ever won before, and there were certainly some rumblings from the group who normally win everything...oh well - one up for the birdies!!! :D
    Taken in SE Florida last October. Minimal PP. The title of the image is 'Guarding The Precious Things'.
    40D 300 f2.8 + 2x
    ISO 400
    F5.6 1/400
    Exp comp @ +2

    Hi Harshad, Phil and Randy and thanks so much for your very kind comments. Actually Phil, the judge was an external one - made the victory all the sweeter - and Randy, I totally agree that a shake-up is good!
    Randy, am I led to believe that you have photographic evidence of me lying face down in the mud?? I feel An Embarrassing Moment coming on...:D:eek:

    Congratulation Nikki on a an excellent image.

    You don't need to go all the way to UUSA for Sanderling. I have 300 on my local beach at the moment although obviously not with the white sands of the Florida but on the muds of the Mersey!
