Sunrise in Death Valley on Dante's Peak. There was nothing in the foreground of interest until I saw Brenda sitting on a rock and looking out over the valley below.

Hi Susan, Nice job creating some foreground interest. Good placement of Brenda in warm light along with a sweeping view of the valley. Minimalising the sky worked best also. Would have liked the far mountains to be more pronounced but realise you were dealing with a haze.

Very well composed Susan. She makes the image IMO. The size of the rock outcropping on the left is just right to ground her position and off the overlooking vantage point.

If you wanted to punch up the back you could use local contrast enhancement.

    Hey Susan,
Back from Tanzania ....agree that Brenda does make the image....give a nice sense of scale. I also think the LCE or even selective color layer...adding blacks... to the BG mountains (not much....just a hint) will strengthen it even more. Very nice job composing this!
