    Default Common Gull with bread

    Common Gull, Nymphenburger Park, Munich

    EOS 7D, 4/500L, hand held
    1/2500, f5.6, ISO 160
Zone AF with central 9 AF fields
slight crop left and right (and of course top and bottom)

I brightened the right wing of the bird (left from the viewers perspective) a little with the Local Adjustment Brush in LR2.

People feed those birds all kind of crap. It is not allowed but they do it anyway.
Good for photographers as it attracts a lot of birds. If it is good for birds, I am not so sure.

    Markus:

Excellent wing and tail spread, nice feet. The cropping works for me.

The light angle was well off to the side, leaving most of his right side in shadow. You helped it by doing the work you mentioned, but I would very subtly do the same to torso and head. Because you often get reflection off the snow and ice, I think it would look ok if you are subtle.

    Cheers

Good comments by Randy above. I would also suggest cleaning up the ice to give the image a more pristine look. It appears that the birds have been "active" in this area for some time. :)
