    North of Seattle in Skagit Valley. My first experience with these magnificent birds.
    D300 with 70-200mm @ 160mm, f/8, 1/2000, iso 800, ev -2.33 (operator error due to the fast action of these birds! - fortunately the image could be recovered).

    What an awesome sight David. Well composed with the slight empty space at the top and bottom. Fine work !!!

    Lovely image David, encompassing what these birds do, flock. I was privelidged last year to be at a local reserve where they had over 70,000 Knot come into roost that night. I can appreciate your luck. :)

    David , you truly nailed this one. Love all the layers you acquired in the BG plus clean upper and lower edges. Gotta love it. IT must have been quite a site. Kind of like a geese blast off but something new and different for you.
