Very nice biird, and I like the savannah-type habitat. Biggest factor working against you here is the very harsh light. You could eliminate the OOF grass blade just in front of the face, and crop a tiny bit at bottom - just enough to hide the brownish strip along bottom left.

I like the walking pose and setting and adding to Daniel's comments, I would sharpen the bird a bit more and wish for some eye contact.
