    Default Northern Cardinal

As soon as the light clouds rolled in today, I went and sat down in the blind out in the backyard and was happy with the species that rolled into feed. Here is a male Northern Cardinal.

Snow on the pines and a big, fat cardinal. A good day was had by all! I was just telling my wife this morning that I need more cardinal shots as they are certainly among our most beloved birds in the U.S. Everything looks just right to me - no adjustments indicated that I can see. Thanks.

This is a very pretty picture Mike. I just recently moved to an area with these birds (southern Ontario) and I thought they would be easy targets. But I have found them to be much more difficult than expected. I love the three tone picture simplicity - red bird, light BG and green foliage. Nice composition.

Hello Mike! this must be my favorite from you!

Love the perfect HA and the beautiful perch covered with snow! Clean BG as well. Congrats.

PS: My only wish would be to see this a bit larger, may be 900x600...:D

This is a lovely photograph, the composition and colours all work for me. I've just received Alan Murphy's Songbird Photoguide (fantastic) but it doesn't look like you need it!

I also ordered it last week because I admire his work more than any other photographer.

Thanks Ray! I always assume less comments means less wrong with the image. ;)
