This Greenie was irritated at anothe greenie who wanted to share hunting grounds!!!! As I saw this beauty land on an isolated reed, I ran to position for good light and BG and just as I arrived another greenie stirred the pot!!! Quite fortuitous for me!!!! This was taken at Green Cay Wetlands. 1dmkIIn 400DO ISO 400 1/1328 F6.4.

I like this as posted. The open beak, the angle of the perch, placement of the bird in the frame and the colorful BG add up to a sweet image.

I agree with Fabs on the light quality, but besides that this is an excellent image. I like the composition, and you caught your subject at the height of action. Good work controlling those whites.
