My wife wants me to post this.....as I am taking it hard!!! All apologies for those of you who have worn glasses for a long time........but she couldn't stop laughing since she walked into the door! Just close up/reading glasses...but.... Superman is dead! I need to remind myself why I bought her the G11 for Christmas!

Aah well Roman, most of us will experience the issue that our arms get to short for reading the fine lettering of the local news paper, sometime in our life. So those that do laugh will be laughed on in future. You can always have the wife hold the local paper for you, in good light, so that you can read the latest news at 1.5m distance (that is for laughing at you).

Then, get into the habit of having a many pairs of reading glasses placed strategically all over the house, in the cars, at work and very importantly, in your camera bag. You will learn to appreciate this piece of advice sometime in the next 5 years as well.;)

Not laughing and have to go and clean my reading glasses whiles I am typing this to you:eek:

Well I think you look adorable! Sweaty...but adorable. :D;):D

I think this needs to be your new avatar...gone are the days of endless beer drinking in lieu of being able to read the morning paper.

Roman your wife should go into portrait photography. If you only need reading glasses its not too bad. I've given up trying to do manual focus with my progressives. :(

    Merry Xmas. :)

The hard part is when you have to keep glasses for photography (in my case on my head) in order to read settings or the LCD...and then when they (example) actually fall into the water never to be retrieved. It's actually a nuisance that you get used to pretty fast.

    Happy Holidays!
