    Default Snow flakes on Blue

    Hi again all,

We've not really had any snow here yet (that you'd call snow anyway)... but this little girl Bluebird has just a few tiny flakes on her forehead which I thot somehow made her even cuter. :)

Taken at 7:45am in sunrise glow.

    Kenn:

Lovely early light. Snow flakes a bonus, perch quite interesting. I agree with the crop to not let the perch overpower the bird.

I think the eye could use just a bit more sharpening. In a perfect world, I would prefer the tail not merge with the perch, but very nice as is.

    cheers

The soft light works great slightly off angle. Nice perch. Was the bird coming to food? Love the perfect head angle and the fluffiness.

Thanks Randy, Harshad, and Arthur for your comments,

Arthur - "...Was the bird coming to food?"
Yes, she is one of twenty-nine fledglings from our mating pair, who've nested in our yard for over 2 years now. We provide them with fresh water and foods they like everyday. At this hour of the day she was patiently waiting for her parents to have their fill of mealworms before approaching the dish.
They are wild birds and free of course, but they choose to live here. They've raised their family in our nestbox, bathe in our birdbath, hunt insects in our lawn, and perch all around the yard thruout the day.
They are very special to us.

    Thanks again for looking,

    Kenn

A sweet image, with lovely light and detail. I rather like the heavy perch as a base to the image. How nice to have a family of willing subjects in the backyard.
