    Default Petal Power

I would appreciate any feedback you could offer on this image. I was bored yesterday, so I cleaned off a layer of dust on my 90mm macro that has been lying around for a couple of years with minimal use. I noticed how soft the light was reflecting off of the snow on the deck onto the roses I gave my wife. So I set up my tripod on the table and began to capture some images.

    Details:
    Canon EOS 40D
    Tamron 90mm Macro
    Exposure 1/8
    F16
    ISO 200
    Tripod
    Cable Release
    Mirror lock-up

    Thanks!

HI Gary, I think you have achieved your aim here, and well worth dusting off the 90mm macro!!! The tight composition displaying beautiful colour and pattern sets it apart from the average flower image. A macro very well handled!!

Thanks John and Mike. I usually like to photograph powerful animals, but also can appreciate the fine art in the details of a flower. You helped me to recapture some of the joy I used to get from my macro work. I appreciate you taking time to comment on my image. Thanks!
